The Power of the Like Button

Do you currently have a Like button on your website? Hopefully you do because this can be one of the single best ways to steer people over to your Facebook business page. Once a person clicks that Like button, it is proudly displayed to all of their friends. This can turn out to be contagious.

Send Out Invites

Invite everyone to your page using email marketing blasts. Encourage them to click that magical little Like button. If you have an active subscriber list, make sure you send out invites to everyone on your list. This is an excellent way to increase your Likes on Facebook.

Are You Using A Call To Action?

If you are not currently using a nice call to action that encourages visitors to click that Like button, then you are missing out on several opportunities to grow. People use social media sites like Facebook to consume information. If you are not giving potential fans and customers new information that is of interest to them, then they will have absolutely no reason to click the Like button and they will have no reason to follow or share your brand’s page.

On the other hand, if you can give them a daily or weekly doses of good content they will eagerly click the Like button and they might even go so far as to share your content with their friends! This is how content goes viral, extending your brand’s influence to new fans and customers! Even for niche businesses and industries, Facebook can be a great content platform to explain who your brand’s product or service benefits, why it benefits them and how it can benefit even more people. Remember: the best methods for getting more Facebook likes for your brand always start with being able to explain why you like your brand.

There Are Paid Options

Facebook may be free to the general public, but businesses must pay to advertise with the social media giant. Advertising can easily drive up the amount of Likes your business currently has and this is the only way your page posts will appear in your fan’s feeds. Just be careful with your advertising budget here. It can be really easy to go overboard.
