Tech giant Google has made another recent purchase, acquiring the start-up Jetpac.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Francisco, Jetpac is a software company that designs programs to analyse pictures posted by cybernauts on the internet and works up urban guides from the information it extracts from them.
Jetpac utilizes an advanced system of artificial intelligence to compile photos and information posted on social networks, including Facebook and Instagram to create comprehensive guides for users. What Google will do with this system and how much it actually spent on the purchase are yet to be revealed.
